Links for Your Holiday Weekend

Over the summer I’ve been steadily adding links to my “To Blog” folder. My list runneth over so I’m going to simply share a whole bunch of them here since I know I won’t get around to writing posts about them. I think there must be something for everyone here!

And is that pansy cake not one of the most beautiful cakes you’ve ever seen?  Want, want, want!  LOL!

Enjoy!

Well thanks for a good laugh to start my day…I disagreed that I have an accent but then I actually started to SAY all those words out loud and sure enough I say every single one of them with the Michigan accent ! I am a good Michigander I guess!! Karen

    Karen,

You are welcome! I laughed through it as well. I don’t think about my accent until I start talking on the phone with someone from another part of the country and realize that I work harder to not use Michigan slang and pronunciations. I thought the history behind it all was quite interesting as well. I love our state! :-)

My daughters 3rd grade teacher was a stickler about milk and pronouncing her T’s at the end of words ……she worked with my daughter not to say mehwk, which is how I say milk, I could NOT hear what the problem was…my daughter still corrects me . Now I hear it. Hysterical.!! Karen
